Kat and Thomas’ Wedding at Brake and Clutch Warehouse was so much fun! These two know how to throw a party! I knew after their engagement session that I really liked these two and I knew their wedding was going to be a blast! #BlyzesTilWeDyzes
Brake & Clutch Warehouse is a 1930’s warehouse that was historically the Brake & Clutch Service Company. Keeping the original name and character throughout, the space has been renovated into a wedding and event space with exposed brick, concrete flooring and high ceilings. It was the perfect backdrop for Kat and Thomas’ modern and elegant wedding day.
They incorporated Thomas’ Louisianan (if that’s a word) roots with a dessert table that included pecan pie bites, praline cheesecake bites, and of course King Cake (A Louisiana staple).
Kat and Thomas, Thank you for trusting me to capture your special day! I am honored to not only document this important moment in your lives, but to have gotten the chance to know you both. Y’all are so sweet and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for you guys!
Here are some of my favorites from Kat and Thomas’ wedding at Brake and Clutch Warehouse in Downtown Dallas.
Advice from the Bride:
What was your Wedding Planning Experience like?
I was definitely overwhelmed the more into planning we got. We tried to do it all ourselves and I was more stressed out than excited. So we decided to look into hiring a wedding planner and I’m so glad we did especially with all the uncertainty of COVID.
Advice to Brides who are currently planning their Weddings.
Ask for help when you start to feel overwhelmed. It was helpful to take a step back and have a date night where we didn’t talk about the wedding. Don’t be afraid to say no to things you don’t like! I’ve also really tried to include the mother of the groom is as much as I can. I know not everyone has that opportunity but with Thomas being an only child I know that this day is something she has looked forward to. Including her in the planning process and showing her the ideas we have has really made her feel included and has strengthened our relationship more!
