Dallas Engagement | Flippen Park | Stephanie and Jared

I had such a great time getting to spend the evening capturing these two at their Dallas engagement session. I first met them over coffee as we talked about what they envisioned for their day and from that moment, I knew we would be a great fit! These two are so down-to-earth, easy to talk to and care for the people that they are around. What could be better?!!

Their Dallas engagement session had all the ingredients for some epic pictures… pretty glow, gorgeous couple, pretty landscapes. BEST.THING.EVER. We first met up at the gorgeous Crescent Court Hotel and then moved a few miles away to Flippen Park.

Stephanie and Jared, I am so happy that our paths crossed and that I will get to celebrate with you on one of the biggest, most memorable days of your lives. It’s clear how much you guys love each other, and if your big day is anywhere as gorgeous as your engagement session..it is going to be AMAZING!!!  Just like you two!

About the Couple:

How did you two meet?

We were introduced through mutual friends although we were living in different states at the time. What started as exchanging a series of Facebook messages quickly turned into phone calls and FaceTimes that went well into early mornings, sometimes until 3 am. The first time we actually met each other was when Jared drove 9 hours and surprised Stephanie on her 22nd birthday. We have been together ever since.

What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?

Stephanie: My interest sparked in Jared initially because of his ability to maintain meaningful and in depth conversations. When we first began communicating, I was expecting conversations to be pretty surface level but Jared exceeded those expectations. I felt he wanted to know everything about me, the good, the bad, the hard times, and good. He has always been the best listener and communicator and that has made falling in love with him so easy. Not to mention, he’s got the most contagious laugh and smile.

Jared: I was hooked on Stephanie from the first night we ever started talking and onwards. I never felt so comfortable with another human being ever. We instantly had an amazing connection, not only romantically, but I felt like I had made a new best friend. From then on, I never got over learning more about her and building our relationship. It didn’t take long for me to decide that I did love this girl and wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.

Tell us your engagement story!

Stephanie’s family and best friend came from out of town to spend the weekend in Texas as Jared had graduated college a few days prior. I thought the plan was to go to dinner to celebrate Jared’s graduation and then take a few pictures in front of the Rockwall harbor, but Jared had other plans. Following dinner, we went to the harbor to take a few graduation pictures and in front of both of our families and friends, Jared got down on one knee with “Can you Feel The Love Tonight” playing in the background.

What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?

Stephanie- For me, I am most excited to be in a room full of all of Jared and I’s favorite people and to show them how much we love one another. It’s been a long time coming so most of all, I am just thrilled to finally be Jared’s wife.

Jared- Taking the biggest leap in life that I have ever made and to do that with the love of my life.

Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?

Stephanie- My biggest piece of advice would be to tackle one task at a time. Each month, I would decide which vendor needed to be booked next. Then, I’d then research and interview different vendors until I found the right fit. I didn’t want to feel stressed balancing several different tasks at one time so I found it easiest to focus on one thing at a time. This also helped keep my stress down and prevented any bridezilla moments from happening.

Jared- Listen to what the bride wants!!! HAHAHA! However, do not be scared to compromise, this is the biggest day of BOTH of y’all’s lives and you must do whatever you can to make it special. You are going to be a team forever and planning a wedding together is a great start for that home team.

What do you love about each other?

I love the way Jared treats not only me, but everyone he encounters. He has the biggest heart and he is incredibly loyal and supportive of those he loves most. I also love his ability to make me laugh even when I don’t want to. He knows how to read me and knows what I need before I do most times. He is the most incredible human being, inside and out and I’m so grateful God chose him to be mine. Every girl deserves a love like Jared Gold can give.

Jared: She is my world. Everything I do, I have her in my mind. I love how determined Stephanie is at being the best person she can, she puts 110% in literally everything . She cares so much for other people, as anyone sho knows her can say. She is my best friend and I know I am her’s. We are ourselves with one another every day, no matter the situation. I thought that I knew the meaning of love before, but after spending the best years of my life I am certain that I know what love truly is.

What has been your favorite thing about being engaged?

Stephanie- My favorite thing has just been growing our relationship and planning our life together. I get so excited thinking about our future and I can’t wait to watch this life unfold as we are planning it all currently.

Jared: A year ago it would have been the fact that I no longer need to be asked “when are you proposing.” But now it is the process of choosing what is meaningful to our relationship. It’s finding the things that we both love and having the joy in imagining it all coming together for the best day of our lives.
