Trying to plan your perfect engagement session? There is a lot that goes into it. That’s why I try to make it as simple as possible for my couple’s by offering a style guide magazine and sharing my favorite engagement session locations. I want you guys to feel amazing and confident on your engagement session.
Now, with that said…keep in mind that no two sessions are the same. They are unique just like the couple in them.
Dallas Arboretum:
Beautiful gardens, seasonal flowers, scenic lake views and so much more make this gorgeous location in the heart of Dallas an ideal spot. From portraits to bridals, I just can’t get enough. A bonus is that it looks beautiful year round!
Fees: free admission for up to four and free parking for one vehicle is included in session
Session: Catie and Bronson
Murrell Park:
This has to be one of my favorite session locations! I love it because it offers a lot of variety – dirt roads with pretty tree lines, open fields and rocky lake views.
Fees: None
Session: Bri and Tom
Gaylord Texan:
Enjoy the feel of the great outdoors without worrying about the weather on your session. There is a reason this is my go-to location during stormy session days. This venue features indoor gardens, canyons of Texas Hill Country and a replica of San Antonio’s Riverwalk. It’s got a lot of variety and an abundance of natural light in a climate-controlled atrium. Plus…plenty of places to grab a bite to eat after your session ends. Might as well have a date night if you are going to get all dressed up.
Fee: No fee to use but parking is around $20
Session: Laura and Wes
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve:
Beautiful nature preserve with tons of trees, bridges and grassy fields.
Fee: None
Session: Jaycee and Daniel
Arlington Hall:
I love shooting sessions at Arlington Hall in Turtle Creek. Not only does it have some really pretty green areas, it also has a historic white mansion that you can have in the background. As a light and bright photographer, I love when I can incorporate some lighter backgrounds into my image.
Fee: None
Session: Jacey and Jacob
Crescent Court Hotel:
I love shooting engagements at the Crescent Court Hotel in Dallas. They have a beautiful courtyard that boasts a cool checkered walkway and gorgeous architecture.
Fee: None for the courtyard but there is one if you go inside. Parking is about $8
Session: Najwa and Chris
Adriatica Village in Mckinney:
Adriatica Village in McKinney is definitely a popular spot for couples looking for a romantic spot for their engagement session! Imagine yourself walking along the cobblestone streets of a quaint European village…Adriatica is just that place…modeled after a fishing village in Croatia, it is like stepping into another world, right in the heart of McKinney, Texas. Couples love the European feel of the streets, the lake backdrop, and the beautiful Bella Donna Chapel that sits on the water. If you have dreamed of a destination engagement session but can’t afford the travel…this is your best bet!
Fee: None
Session: Tom and Phuong
Winspear Opera House
The Winspear Opera House is a super cool location for those of you who like to have a city vibe to your photos! It has a large fountain with views of the city and plenty of cool places within walking distance. (I mean…it is the arts district)
