From the Bride
What was your Wedding Planning Experience like How did you feel, how did you handle any stress? Was it easier or more difficult than you first thought?
I was very excited but also very overwhelmed. I had no idea what all goes into planning a wedding. You get a lot of opinions and advice and it can be too much but starting early helped me the most. Getting all the big things out of the way first helped me focus on the smaller things the closer the wedding date came!
Advice to Brides who are currently planning their Weddings
Don’t forget that the day is about you and your partner. Do things that you both want to do and what is important to you. If a wedding planner is in your budget, definitely get one! My biggest regret was not getting one.
What’s one non-traditional thing you did at your wedding?
We chose to do speeches at the rehearsal dinner to be more intimate and save time at the reception.
What is the inspiration for your wedding day?
I am going for a light summer with a tiny hint of rustic vibe. It will be sage, white, gold and little accents of dark walnut wood in the decor. A simple summer wedding is what we are trying to go for. Nothing very formal and we want people enjoy there time while they are there.
What are three words you would use to describe the style of your wedding day?
Light, Delicate, Rustic
