I am excited to showcase Samantha and Trent’s engagement session on the blog today! It was my first time shooting a session at Prairie Creek Park in Richardson! It did not disappoint! Waterfalls, pretty tree lines and wooden bridges all made my little photographer heart flutter! No wonder it is such a popular place for portraits.
I had a blast getting to know Samantha and Trent and I am EVEN MORE excited for their wedding next October at the gorgeous Bowden! <— not sure how that is even possible, but it is!
Samantha and Trent met at Physical Therapy school and instantly had a connection! In March, Trent popped the question at Reunion tower overlooking the city of Dallas. Between getting engaged and buying their first home together…looks like 2020 wasn’t all bad for these two lovebirds! Congratulations to you both and I can’t wait to help you celebrate next Fall!
Here are some of my favorites from Samantha and Trent’s engagement session at Prairie Creek Park!
About the couple
How did you two meet?
Our love story began back in 2017 at UT Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, TX. We were both in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program, Samantha was in her second year and Trent was now starting his first year. After a mutual friend introduced us, we realized we had a lot in common. After many long afternoons keeping each other company studying and social events at school, we became good friends. The rest was history!
What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?
Samantha: His handsomeness, ability to talk with everyone, and caring personality.
Trent: She is very smart, sweet, and beautiful.
Tell us your engagement story!
During Trent’s spring break, he came to visit in me in Dallas. He told me we were going to a nice dinner and followed by dessert. First, we went to my favorite restaurant, Pappadeux, for a lovely dinner. Then, Trent took me to Reunion Tower for dessert and drinks since he knew how much I loved the Dallas skyline. Trent said some sweet words and popped the question with the beautiful Dallas skyline in the background.
What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?
Seeing each other for the first time on our wedding day and celebrating with all of our family and friends.
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Always take time to go on dates and enjoy each other away from the stress of wedding planning.
How was your overall session experience?
It was great! Trent and I have always looked awkward in pictures, but Kimberly was funny and helped us feel comfortable. She really knows what she is doing. I can’t wait to see our wedding day pictures!
Share something interesting about your significant other!
We are both Physical Therapists and born in Louisiana.
I hope you enjoyed their images as much as I did! They are the cutest!
