Melissa and Chris’ Engagement at White Rock Lake was nothing short of Perfect! Gah…I just kept squealing over how cute these two looked and how easy it was to photograph them.
Melissa and Chris are an incredibly down-to-earth couple who just go together so perfectly, and I could not be more thrilled to celebrate their marriage this Spring at The Hidden Willow in Blossom, Texas. I am super excited because WOWZER…I’m not sure if these two can take a bad picture! I know it is going to be such a beautiful day!
During our session, I got to learn so much about these two! First, they will be celebrating their four year dating anniversary this month! Congratulations, guys! Also, I learned Melissa is a first year school teacher and Chris works in construction but may be considering a career switch to modeling after this session.

More about the couple
How did you two meet?
We were roommates for a while! I moved in with my sister who was engaged to Chris’s good friend and was already living with them. It wasn’t until after we had all moved our separate ways that Chris and I started dating.
What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?
I was attracted to Chris because of his contagious smile and huge heart. He was always doing his best to make me feel special and cared for. I was first attracted to Melissa because of how she made me feel inside. I knew she was the one for me because she was easy to talk to and always made me smile. Her beauty caught my eye from the beginning.
Tell us your engagement story!
Chris planned a birthday dinner with both of our families, he picked a restaurant close to a bridge where we had taken one of our first photos together 3 years before. My mom told me she wanted to do family photos before the dinner and during our pictures he got down on one knee and the rest is history.
What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?
Having all of our family together in one place to celebrate us as a couple.
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Stay calm, it will all work out:)
How was your overall session experience?
It was amazing! We felt so comfortable and shared great conversation and laughs together. We can’t wait until our wedding day and feel confident in our photographer!

Chris was at my birthday celebrations every year since I turned 18.
Melissa graduated Summa Cum Laude from A&M Commerce.
