Dallas Fort Worth Wedding Photographer | First Responder Wedding

I titled this blog first responder wedding because I think it’s a really important aspect of the couple and their personality – their life. Two people who devote their lives to helping others deserve to be celebrated! These two served in the Army and were both stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. Although, they actually met at a bar called Little Bit of Texas! Even though their Army days are behind them; they both choose careers where they serve and protect others. Christa is a nurse and Joey is in law enforcement.

I met Joey, Christa and Chief at their engagement session last Fall. It was fun getting to know them. These two adore each other and their furry family members. if you haven’t had a chance to check out their engagement session, you should! They are suuuuuper cute.

My favorite moment of their wedding day was taking their portraits with their adorable pets, Chief and Lilly. Chief had on a cute little tux and bow tie while Lilly was only interested in snuggling in her Mama’s arms.

Also, a close second was enjoying a little bite of their cookies and cream wedding cake! Guys, it was so delicious. I told myself I wasn’t going to eat any cake and then I saw the cookies and cream and I just had to try it. #Worthit

The night was spent hitting up the dance floor and then the wedding party was able to stay the night at the venue. How sweet is that? They have little cabins on the property so your guests can party as long as they want and not worry about driving home.

Christa and Joey, Thank you for trusting us to capture this special day in your lives. It has been such a pleasure getting to know you and being there to help you celebrate this new chapter. Please enjoy some of my favorite images from their First Responder Wedding day at Lucky Spur Ranch.

ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE

What was your Wedding Planning Experience? How did you feel, how did you handle any stress? Was it easier or more difficult than you first thought?

Overall, I was not as stressed with the initial planning as I thought I would be. I think I will be more stressed closer to the wedding with small details. To handle everything I have to just remind myself that everything will come together!
