Dallas – Fort Worth Wedding Photographer | Fall Wedding at The Springs Lodge
Brandon and Darcy’s Fall Wedding at The Springs Lodge in Aubrey was so much fun! After a very busy month, I closed out October with these two and their friends and family! The Lodge was the absolute perfect setting for this Fall wedding. I loved their warm colors of blue and burgundy.
I first met Darcy and Brandon at Alexis and Hunter’s wedding back in 2020. Darcy was a bridesmaid and Brandon volunteered to hold my video light for the grand exit. Then, It was nice getting to see them again for their engagement session at Murrell Park.
It would be hard to narrow down my favorite moment of this wedding because there were so many wonderful moments. From the first looks with Darcy’s Dad and Brandon to their gorgeous sunset ceremony to their party that ensued later that night. It was fun filled. For me personally, I loved seeing not one, not two but THREE #KHPcouples under one roof. How special! It felt like a mini reunion!
Katie at One Fat Dove did an outstanding job making sure the day ran smoothly and everything looked like perfection!
Darcy and Brandon, Thank you for having me there to capture your day! You guys are so sweet and it has been such a pleasure getting to know you both! I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from your Fall wedding at The Springs Lodge!
Advice From The Bride
What was your Wedding Planning Experience like How did you feel, how did you handle any stress? Was it easier or more difficult than you first thought?
The worst fun I ever had. It has been ROUGH. Planning during the height of COVID, through 2 different job changes, Brandon starting school again, and starting fostering animals has made me shocked I am not bald yet. Wine and calming baths saved me. It has made me learn how important the wedding is to our parents and how much it is a day for them more than us in some ways, but at the end of the day it is a big day to celebrate both our love and the people that helped us get here. I know it will all be worth it, but if I knew what I was getting into beforehand I would definitely have invested in a professional planner! So definitely more difficult, but I have loved the conversations it has started between Brandon and I and the fun memories we have made along the way. I just can’t wait to be married!
Advice to Brides who are currently planning their Weddings?
Hire a planner if budget allows!! Also, excel will be a lifesaver! Brandon makes fun of my wedding excel workbook, but I am pretty proud of it. Also, I had a longer engagement and wish I would have planned more earlier on. Finalize guest count earlier and wait till later to buy a dress- life may change in the process and I ended up getting a new one.
What are three words you would use to describe the style of your wedding day?
Natural, Classic, Warm
Where did you gather inspiration from for your wedding day?
Pinterest for sure
