I have been dreaming of Kelly and Curt’s elegant wedding at the Hillside Estate since Thanksgiving of last year! I had just done Curt’s family photos and joked that he’s be a fun groom to work with and little did I know he was planning to propose to Kelly within the week! LOL When I saw the post on Facebook, I literally couldn’t contain my excitement for them!

These two are the sweetest souls and I feel so blessed to be able to share and capture this special moment in their lives. Although both of them attended the middle school I taught at, I never had the honor to have them in my class. So, it was nice really getting to spend time with them at their engagement session at the Dallas Arboretum and getting to capture Kelly’s bridal portraits.

Their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous! The Hillside estate was the perfect backdrop for this sweet and classic wedding. I loved the handcrafted details that were incorporated throughout the day. Kelly actually designed the invitations, menus, programs and escort cards herself! Talk about a talented lady!

I honestly can’t narrow down a favorite moment of this wedding. It was filled with so many memorable moments, wonderful people and laughter. I could do this wedding over and over again.

What was your Wedding Planning Experience like How did you feel, how did you handle any stress? Was it easier or more difficult than you first thought?

Wedding planning has its highs and lows. It was challenging at times to plan a wedding while in my last semester of college; however, luckily we got a lot of planning done during Christmas break! For the most part, it was an enjoyable process.

Advice to Brides who are currently planning their Weddings

It is easy to get bogged down and feel like you always have to be doing something for the wedding. However, it is important to remember to take time for you, relax, and do something you like that isn’t wedding planning related!

What are three words you would use to describe the style of your wedding day?

Classic and timeless with modern twists!
