Najwa and Chris Engagement at Crescent Court Hotel

Engagement Session

April 10, 2019

It was so much fun meeting Najwa and Chris at the Crescent Court Hotel for their engagement session. They drove in all the way from Abilene just for their shoot. Guys, they seriously look like they stepped out of a magazine. I wish that I looked this good after spending hours in the car! LOL

They followed the style guide to perfection! I am absolutely in love her white dress from LuLu’s.

How did you meet?

These two lovebirds met on Tinder and I’m pretty sure they are so glad that they swiped right. I could see how perfect their personalities complimented one another. Their affection shines through in every way, and they way they look at each other is so sweet.

Okay, proposal time!!  After Chris returned home from his 6.5 month deployment, they planned a vacation to spend quality time together. They decided on Ireland…pretty amazing, right! They planned to rent a car and travel the country taking in beautiful sites like castles, waterfalls, gardens, lakes, the Wild Atlantic Way, historic sites, old churches, old libraries…etc. Najwa was sure that Chris was going to propose at the Cliff’s of Moher while Chris was waiting for the perfect conditions where they both were having fun and in a good mood.

While at the Cliffs of Moher,  Najwa was a little bit in a funky mood since she was expecting a proposal and it didn’t come. Chris didn’t want to propose with Najwa being in a a little bit of a weird mood so he decided to wait. They had two more days in Ireland, he was sure he could find the perfect time to propose!

They spent the last two days in Dublin and really enjoyed visiting the Guinness Storehouse, St. Stephen’s Green, Jameson Distillery, Temple Bar, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral and Trinity College.

The day of the proposal:

Chris had debated popping the question at St. Stephan’s Green but was afraid of seagulls flying over head and any unfortunate mishaps that might ensue.

He then thought about the Jameson Distillery, old churches, nightclubs…but none seemed like the perfect spot. Figuring that he was slowly running out of time they finally walked by a spot that would work! They both like it and they could have a private moment together.  Chris got down on one knee and simply asked her, “Will you marry me?” and of course, Najwa said, “YES!” And they kissed*.

*Edit for her parents and family: And they kissed…for the first time…ever…

They bought a bottle of Jameson Whiskey and labeled it with their engagement details. They even brought it to their engagement session to drink! What a cool idea!

These two love birds will be getting married in just a few days at the Stonegate Mansion in Fort Worth.

Can I say, it is going to be such a beautiful day. Najwa has such a great sense of style and attention to details. I am so excited to see her vision come to life.

I loved this Dallas Engagement Session at Crescent Court Hotel, but even more so, I loved getting to know and spend time with the couple in the pictures! Here are some of my favorite photos from their engagement session. Enjoy!
