Ohhh friends, I cannot wait to tell you about Lacey and Charlie’s wedding day at The Gardenia Venue in Valley View, Texas! It was one of those perfectly sunshine-y days that feel like a little love note from Mother Nature herself—especially after a week full of rain! ☀️🌸
From the moment I arrived, there was such a calm, joyful energy in the air. Thanks to Lacey’s incredible planning and her rockstar vendor team, the whole day flowed like a dream. We were even ahead of schedule (yes please!!), which meant more time for sweet moments, extra portraits, and soaking it all in.
Lacey chose a beautiful blue and white color palette, and it was as classic and fresh as a spring morning. The ceremony took place in The Gardenia’s charming little white chapel—it looked like something straight out of a fairytale. Then it was over to the reception space, where guests were greeted with a custom dance floor featuring the couple’s initials (so cute and so chic!).
Can we talk about dessert for a second?! Lacey and Charlie went the non-traditional route and served a cheesecake instead of a classic wedding cake, PLUS adorable mini pies for their guests. I was very into it. And dinner? CHUY’S! My all-time fave. Give me chips and creamy jalapeño any day of the week and I’m a happy camper. 🌮🎉
One of the most touching moments of the night was when Lacey surprised her mom with a special dance. Not a dry eye in the room. It was such a beautiful tribute, and you could feel how deep their bond is.
After that? The dance floor was ON FIRE. Friends, family, and the couple themselves danced the night away in the most joy-filled celebration. For their last dance, Lacey and Charlie had the whole floor to themselves… and after the music stopped, they laid down right in the middle of the dance floor, just holding each other and soaking in their first moments as newlyweds. 🥹 It was one of those moments you don’t forget.
As they made their exit, they took their time saying goodbye—hugging their people tight, full of gratitude and love. It was the kind of send-off that fills your heart to the brim.
