Dallas Wedding Photographer | Hotel Crescent Court Engagement
Samantha and Alex’s Hotel Crescent Court Engagement is on the blog! These two were just as sweet as could be and I’m glad I finally had the opportunity to meet them in person. They currently live in Seattle, Washington so we had to wait for the perfect time for schedules to align. It was well worth the wait!
They will be getting married next year at one of my favorite venues in the DFW area, D’Vine Grace Vineyards. Ekk…It’s going to be so pretty. đ I cannot wait!!
Here are some of my favorites from their Hotel Crescent Court Engagement session!
More About the Couple
How did you two meet?
We got connected on Hinge and first met at a bar by the beach in San Diego! It was a great night of sangria, nachos, and beach bonfires.
What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?
Sam: For me it was on our first date when a nacho fell on the table and Alex just picked it up and ate it anyway. I gotta love it when someone embraces the 5 second rule and doesnât take the small stuff too seriously.
Alex: Probably on our first date when she was really genuine and fun to talk to from the start. We bonded over how lame small talk is.
Tell us your engagement story!
We have a go-to walk that loops around a pond where you can spot lots of wildlife – our favorite being the turtles! Alex pulled out some trickery one day pointing to a turtle that wasnât there, and when I turned around to complain that I couldnât see it he was down on one knee.
What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?
Our families are from all over the place so weâre most excited to have them all in one place! It was a tight race though. Runner up, of course, is the cake.
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Whatâs helped us the most is that we made a timeline covering when weâd like to get things done by. Itâs kept all the moving pieces straight in our heads and helped us enjoy each step without stressing too much about the next one. Oh! And obviously hire Kimberly. She is a magic worker. (aww, thank you đ )
How was your overall session experience?
The session was incredible! We were not planning on doing an engagement session but are so so glad we did. Kimberly kept it fun and easy and the pictures turned out amazing. Itâs also nice to have a sneak peek of what to expect for the wedding photos!
Share something interesting about your significant other!
Sam: I donât know the current number because heâs always adding more, but Alex is likely reading upwards of 10 books right now.
Alex: She can fall asleep in 10 seconds flat. It’s impressive but I have to keep an eye on her if we’re watching a movie late at night. (hahaha….I’m the same way Samantha!)
