Ashley and Carl’s Summer Wedding at The Hillside Estate was absolute perfection.

I first met this amazing couple at their engagement session at The Gaylord Texan. Although it wasn’t the session we had planned for due to rain, it turned out so lovely. They were such troopers and it was clear that no matter what they were just happy to be together.

My heart was heavy when I woke up and looked at the forecast because it was supposed to thunderstorm all day. However, we were blessed because it only drizzled a little while we were flying the drone but not a drop the rest of the day! I know Ashley was really grateful that the rain somehow missed this little section in Crossroads.

My favorite part of their wedding day was their first touch where they exchanged their personal vows. Such a sweet moment. I am so excited for you two as you embark on this new chapter of your lives. Thank you for trusting me to capture this special celebration for you. It has been an honor!

What is the inspiration for your wedding day?

I wanted to have simple florals with lots of votives and candle decor, but not something that would overwhelm the beauty of the venue. I love that our venue has lots of natural light and is really beautiful.

What was your Wedding Planning Experience like ?

My wedding planning experience was definitely more difficult than I first thought. It’s essential to hire an amazing planner like I did. I think what helped me was to do a little bit of planning and researching each day, instead of overwhelming myself at one time. It definitely helped me to enjoy the process!

Advice to Brides who are currently planning their Weddings

Don’t forget to ask your fiancé’s input on some of your ideas! They may not be as heavily invested in the wedding planning, but it’s a day that both of you will share and remember.
