I am so happy to share this Nasher Sculpture Center Wedding on the blog today. After having their plans of a destination wedding in Ireland cancelled due to Covid-19, Laci and Colin dreamed up a wedding at home that would still feel magical. Laci told me the Nasher was the only place in the Dallas area that she could envision herself saying “I do”.
Although the day was cold and rainy, Laci planned a beautiful, romantic and timeless event. I am so happy that I got to be there to help you document this special time in your lives. You guys were a blast to work with!
Here are some of my favorites from Laci and Colin’s Nasher Sculpture Center Wedding! Enjoy!
Advice to Other Brides
“It doesn’t help when people say “relax and try to enjoy it, nothing matters but that you are marrying the person you love.” The fact of the matter is, even though that is annoying to hear because you are trying to plan the best wedding you can, there is a lot of truth in it. Trust your partner, let them be your hero and your helper. They would move mountains to make sure you are happy, so make sure that you allow them to feel like they can actually accomplish making you smile when you are stressed. Do NOT get me wrong, PLAN that wedding and make it special, but make sure you take the time to remember why you are having a wedding. You get to have a wedding because you are marrying the person that makes everything okay when you don’t think it will be. No matter how important your wedding is, the person that loves you more than life itself is more important.”
