Dallas Wedding Photographer | Rainy Highland Park Village Engagement

As a wedding photographer, each love story I capture has its unique charm, and Megan and Trevonne’s Highland Park engagement session was no exception. Even the rain could not put a damper on the day.

Their love story began in the cozy corners of a small coffee bar on UNT’s campus, where a serendipitous encounter between Megan and Trey unfolded. Little did they know that this chance meeting would blossom into a beautiful love story.

I had a blast with these two. They are funny, down-to-earth and genuinely kind. I first met Megan 4-5 years ago when she completed her undergraduate degree from UNT. It was also around this time that she first met Trevonne. It’s been fun getting to see their love grow over the last several years. I joked with Tre that although we’ve never met in person, I’ve followed along on Facebook for so long that it feels like we are old friends.

Megan and Trevonne’s engagement session in Highland Park Village, even on a rainy day, was a testament to the enduring warmth and joy they bring into each others lives. As a witness to their story, I can’t wait to capture the next chapter of their journey as they dance into the beginning of their happily ever after. They’ll be saying “I do” this Fall at Tuscany Hill. Enjoy some of my favorites from Megan and Trevonne’s Highland Park Engagement Session.

How did you two meet?

Megan shared, “I would go get something before class, and Trey was always my barista. One day, a friend pointed out that we had good chemistry and somewhat ‘forced’ us to swap numbers. Trey texted me that night, and that was that!” Trey, on the other hand, was captivated by Megan’s eyes, while Megan found solace in Trey’s smile and the immediate comfort they shared.

The Proposal

Trey chose the Dallas Museum of Art’s sculpture garden as the setting for his heartfelt proposal. With a surprise element added by one of Megan’s close friends popping out of the bushes to capture the moment, it was a memory etched in time. The celebration continued with a delightful dinner at a winery, where both sets of parents and close friends gathered for the first time.

What are you most excited for on your wedding day?

Anticipation and excitement fill Megan and Trevonne’s hearts when they think about their upcoming wedding day. The prospect of walking down the aisle, seeing their soul mate, surrounded by the love and support of family and friends, is the highlight they eagerly look forward to.

Any advice to future couples planning their wedding?

For couples embarking on their wedding planning journey, Megan and Trey offer valuable advice: “Take as much time as you need! Don’t rush the process. Remember, ultimately it is your wedding day, so plan the day according to how you want your special day to be – not anyone else’s.”

How was your session experience?

Megan expressed, “We had such a great experience! Kimberly does such a great job at making the session feel effortless, stress-free, and fun! I have never seen Trey enjoy taking pictures so much before.”

Share an interesting fact about your significant other

“For the entirety of our relationship, either Trey, myself, or both of us have been in school pursuing our careers. Come May, we will both be officially done with school. We cannot be more excited to begin a new chapter of our lives, starting with our wedding!”
