Dallas Wedding Photographer | Bella Terra Events

Kara and Connor’s Bella Terra wedding day was my first of 6 weddings I squeezed into the month of June, and they were the sweetest couple to work with. I know their road to finding a wedding photographer was not easy but I am so thankful that it led them to me. It was an honor to be able to capture this special time in their lives.

This wedding was definitely a representation of their love not only to each other but the love of friends and family as well. I loved when Kara’s mother gave her the rings that belonged to her and her late father to wear as she walked down the aisle. In addition, Kara had signs made that depicted parts of the vows her parents took many years before and made sure to include her Dad’s favorite song at the reception. In a way, it allowed him to be with her. At this point in my life, I think its these moments that grab at my heart strings the most.

So without further delay, Here are some of my favorites from Kara and Connor’s Bella Terra Wedding.

Advice from the Bride

What was your Wedding Planning Experience like How did you feel, how did you handle any stress? Was it easier or more difficult than you first thought?

Wedding planning has definitely been more difficult than I expected. Having very opinionated people in your inner circle hasn’t helped the process. However, I handled stress by making lots of lists (#teacher) , and trying my best to utilize my free time wisely. There are moments where I feel very happy and moments where I feel very overwhelmed, but at the end of it all, you get to marry your best friend in front of all the people you love most. It is ALL going to be worth it!

Advice to Brides who are currently planning their Weddings .

My advice to brides that are planning their wedding would be to talk to several vendors before booking one. Even if the first conversation goes REALLY well and you think they’re the right fit, still have a conversation/interview with another vendor in the same field just so you have a comparison – you never know! Try not to wait on planning/booking things. You might think or get told it’s “too early”…99% of the time IT IS NOT TO EARLY! Don’t get hung up on all the little details – everything will fall into place! HAVE FUN AND ENJOY IT! This time of your life truly flies by, so find ways to enjoy every detail with your fiancé!
