The wedding invitation is one of my very favorite details to photograph on a wedding day. I love how a wedding invitation introduces guests to the style and theme of a wedding long before the big day. I truly love when my couples send me a copy of their wedding invitation before the wedding day because I get a sneak peek at the style of the wedding. So here is why you need your invitation suite at the wedding.

Even if your invitation is not “fancy” I still want to photograph it on your wedding day! The invitation usually plays a big role in the bridal detail shots.

I like photographing wedding invitations not only to document the smallest parts of the day but also to use them as a way to connect the other detail shots and make them look cohesive throughout your gallery. Your detail shots will pair together so much easier on the blog and in your album if you include your wedding invitations!

I usually use my bride’s invitations for the large suite shot, earrings, and ring shots! Another tip that I suggest is to bring all the pieces of your bridal invitation suite. This includes the envelope, RSVP card and any other paper good that you sent to your guests.

I hope you now realize Why you NEED your invitation suite to the wedding and how it can impact your final gallery. Bonus points if you ask your florist for some lose florals to use in your detail pictures.
