Kendra and Jake’s wedding at The Pines on Lake Granbury was absolutely beautiful! Kendra and Jake said their vows lakeside with friends and family in attendance.
I am so honored that I got to be the one to capture their special day. I have loved getting to know them both and their fur baby at their engagement session. If you haven’t checked that out, you should!
Thanks for having me, guys! Here are some of my favorites from your wedding at The Pines on Lake Granbury!
What is the inspiration for your wedding day?
The personal touches we want to incorporate, whether they are noticed or not (for example, Jake’s custom cufflinks), are important to me. I envision our wedding to be a reflection of Jake and I, somewhat traditional but slightly different. I want people to look around and say “this is so Jake and Kendra!”. Our colors are based on Jake’s race bike colors, the vintage candlesticks and my dress style are perfect because I am an old soul. We are going to serve Mexican wedding cookies to represent my culture and really the area of Texas that we’re from. We’ve got a chain from Jake’s bike that was welded into a heart that we will display. The venue has just enough Texas flare and is surrounded by nature which is perfect for us. I want the décor to give everything a romantic feel, and the music and food to be fun.
Tell me a little bit more about your dinner + reception!
Our main colors are plum purple and orange but we are incorporating other jewel tone/bold fall colors into the flowers. The flowers and vintage brass candlestick holders/candelabras will give a romantic feel to the reception I hope. I want to keep it simple to allow the venue’s natural beauty to be displayed, also because I’m a minimalist for the most part.
