Okay, okay—I know I’m behind on blogging my summer sessions, but can you blame me? Wedding season was WILD (in the best way possible), and I got to capture so many love stories that I can’t wait to share. But today, I’m finally catching up and bringing you a glimpse into Shawna and Solomon’s Summer Downtown Dallas engagement session!
Scroll through for some of my favorite moments from their Summer Downtown engagement session!

If these two sound familiar, it’s because I photographed their absolutely incredible wedding at The Hillside Estate last November (think luxury, thunderstorms, champagne sabering, a Rolex gift, and the most thoughtful guest experiences ever!). But before their big day, we spent an afternoon in Downtown Dallas exploring the streets, capturing their love, and getting to know each other. And let me tell you—these two are effortlessly elegant, ridiculously fun, and just so in sync with one another.

A Love Story Set in the City
We started our session at First Presbyterian of Dallas, a stunning historic church that gave us such a timeless, classic backdrop. The light filtering through the city buildings? Chef’s kiss. From there, we strolled through the bustling streets of Downtown, stopping at every charming corner and finding the best little nooks for photos. If there’s one thing I love about shooting in the city, it’s how every turn gives you something new—modern glass buildings, textured brick walls, and those glowing string lights that make everything feel a little more romantic.

A Sneak Peek into Their Wedding Day
Fast forward to November, and these two threw one of the most thoughtful and experience-driven weddings I’ve ever been a part of. But even at their engagement session, I could tell just how deeply they cared—not just about each other, but about every single person in their lives. It’s that kind of love that makes for the most incredible celebrations.

Shawna & Solomon, I loved every second of this your Summer Downtown Dallas Engagement Session and your wedding day. I may be late to blogging this, but trust me—your love is timeless.
