Dallas-Fort Worth Wedding Photographer | Spring Engagement at White Rock

Sarah and Rayce’s Spring Engagement at White Rock was so much fun. I got to know this sweet couple. By the way, you can’t tell these two just spent 3 hours in the car driving home from College Station. I know I don’t look that good after a road trip! LOL.

They will be getting married this Summer at a private estate that belongs to their family. I can’t wait to celebrate with them and document the beginning of this next chapter in their life!

Here are some of my favorites from their Spring Engagement at White Rock lake. Enjoy!

More About The Couple

How did you two meet?

We met in AP Physics class in high school.

What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?

Rayce – Sarah’s smile and sense of humor/positivity.

Sarah – I’m not sure. I saw him in class and pretty much immediately fell in love with him. I knew he was incredibly smart and that was attractive, but there’s just something indescribable that drew me to him and makes me love him.

Tell us your engagement story!

There is a garden at the Bush Library on A&M’s campus which is an ideal spot for picnics and afternoon hangs. We went there for one of our favorite types of dates, a sonic ice cream picnic. It was a beautiful day, and he was slightly overdressed, which in hind-sight I should have been suspicious of. He suggested we capture the day with some photos, but he actually set up a video and got down on one knee. I was totally surprised which he is proud of since we joked that I would see it coming.

What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?

We are excited to be able to celebrate with our family and friends. We always have fun when everyone gets together!

Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?

Something I have seen throughout the process of wedding planning is the willingness and desire from other people to contribute. We are blessed to have family and communities of people who truly love and support us. I would encourage other couples to not be afraid to lean on the support of others. Embracing the help and ideas of my friends and family as well as his has made this process more fun and made me feel closer to both of our families.

How was your overall session experience?

Rayce – It was fun and painless.

Sarah – Great! We did our session as a stop on our way home for Easter break. Sometimes after a 3 hour drive, you don’t feel beautiful or particularly willing to spend 2 hours posing; however, Kimberly’s encouragement and guidance throughout the shoot helped so much and the time flew by!

Share something interesting about your significant other!

Never play Sarah in a matching game, she has perfect recall. I would draft Rayce in the first round of who would survive the apocalypse.
