Shawna and Solomon’s wedding at The Hillside Estate unfolded with elegance, excitement, and a sprinkle of spontaneity. This was a celebration for the books, made even more memorable by a little extra drama from thunderstorms that couldn’t hold back this amazing day!

The day kicked off with Shawna’s love language in full bloom—gifting! Shawna truly outdid herself, treating Solomon to a series of thoughtful and luxe surprises. From a brand-new Rolex to a sleek suit jacket, a Hermes handkerchief, and even a bottle of wine with custom corks, she showered him with love and appreciation. And it didn’t stop there! Shawna made sure every single person in her orbit felt treasured—groomsmen, bridesmaids, parents—each received their own token of thanks.

As the guests arrived, the clouds filled the sky which only added to the cozy, intimate feel of the day. Cocktail hour featured a champagne sabering ceremony, an ice sculpture filled to the brim with seafood, tasty passed apps and it became clear that Shawna and Solomon had thought of everything to entertain their friends and family. There was a guest painting station (hello, interactive memories!), a cigar bar and even a cake pull tradition, letting guests uncover mini charms and future fortunes. Drinks were flowing too, with signature cocktails crafted just for the occasion, plus a coffee cart for those wanting a cozy caffeine fix.

Dinner became a highlight of its own, with Marquise Jones on the sax and Jeremiah Brinkley serenading everyone. The mood was nothing short of magical—a dream team working seamlessly to elevate the entire experience.

One of my favorite moments of the night? Shawna and Solomon’s grand re-entrance to the reception. They both made a costume change, and Solomon stunned in a blush pink tux that featured a collage of black-and-white photos of him and Shawna—a beautiful, personal touch that turned heads and melted hearts.

When it came time to send the newlyweds off, they stepped out into a drive lined with cold sparks, lighting up the night and sealing this celebration with a sparkle as vibrant as the love they share. Shawna and Solomon’s wedding was nothing short of extraordinary, from the tiniest detail to the grandest gestures. It was a day that left everyone (including me!) with hearts full and memories to last a lifetime.
