Melissa and Les’ Engagement at Murrell Park | Denton Wedding Photographer
Melissa and Les’ Engagement was just the picture of perfection. Great weather and wonderful conversation. These two are easy to talk to and I enjoyed getting to know them during their engagement session.
They will be getting married this Summer at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas. I cannot wait to see Melissa in her dress and to see these two wonderful people celebrate with their dearest friends and family.
It is such an honor to be the ones that get to capture this special season of your lives! I cannot wait to see all the wonderful things in store for you.
Enjoy a few of my favorites from Melissa and Les’ engagement pictures at Murrell Park.
How did you two meet?
Melissa and Les first met while working together at Brandt. Our first encounter was while Ryan Cox (soon to be brother in law) and Les were sharing a small office together. Melissa came into the office to speak to Ryan and Les was the beneficiary of being in the right place at the right time.
Over the next several months, Les would make excuses to stop by Megan’s ( Melissa’s twin sister) desk often sharing a bit of wittiness as they were eating lunch together making note they were “sharing a single lettuce leaf and a glass of water”. Somehow this approach eventually began to take hold and a friendship was born between Les and Melissa. “The Rest is History”, as they say.
What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?
I found Les to be kind and of course funny. He wants the best for the people around him and will serve them the best he can. He finds positivity in every situation which is such a rare amazing quality.
I can’t lie……She’s HOT! Her true and kind heart was something I noticed right away once we began to get know one another.
Tell us your engagement story!
Les had the brilliant idea to plan the proposal on his birthday, October 23, 2021. Melissa was a bit confused and somewhat tipped-off that something was up since he had planned the entire day. The day started with pedicures for both and a manicure for Melissa. (The ring would be coming later that day and he knew it would be important for her to have her nails done.) After pedicures, we went to lunch at the Canals in Las Colinas where Les had arranged for a romantic gondola ride. He presented her with a custom bottle of wine with the words, “Melissa Raye Pulley – Will you Marry me” etched in it. She said Yes!
What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?
I’m excited about marrying my best friend. I have prayed for this man for a long time and the Lord has truly blessed me! Finally being able to call this wonderfully special Lady my wife and begin building our life together as one!
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Remember the wedding is a once in a lifetime event – don’t sweat the small stuff and enjoy the ride. Keep in mind this is YOUR day. Make it about the two of you rather than trying to satisfy everyone else around you.
How was your overall session experience?
The session with Kimberly was so much fun! we had a great time. Kimberly was so patient and helpful to the both of us. We laughed a lot and really enjoyed the experience.
Share something interesting about your significant other!
If I cant find Les then there is one place that normally wont let me down – The Lake. He loves to fish! Fishing in tournaments a least a weekend or two out of the month throughout the spring and summer.
Melissa is so driven and energetic, a self-proclaimed “Rule Follower”, and possesses an unmatched work ethic!! She has also completed several half and full marathons……I’ll be waiting at the Finish Line for you Dear!!
