This was by far one of the coolest engagement sessions I have ever done. In Dallas, where I live, it is pretty flat…no mountains…no hills….just short trees and tall grass. When Macey told me that they were planning a mountain engagement session , I couldn’t wait to jump in the car and cross state lines to capture these two lovebirds.
Even better was getting to know the two wonderful people pictured. They are funny, kind and so easy to talk to. We chatted the ENTIRE two hours of their session and my ribs still hurt from laughing so much!
I have to admit that the road trip was pretty fun too…my husband joined us to help assist me scouting locations since he is an avid hiker.
Macey and Colby, I cannot wait for your wedding in July at Ashton Gardens! I say that because there is sure to be plenty of love and LOTS of laughter. Your love for each other is evident and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for you both!

Interesting Fact: This forest is supposedly haunted. People report seeing orbs in photographs, sensation of being touched or even seeing ghosts! The only thing I saw were these two and they way they looked at each other.
