Lifestyle Newborn Session | Denton Family Photography

I had the absolute pleasure to photograph a lifestyle newborn session this week for Lexi and Travis’s little man Boone. Boone was 9 weeks old and such a little trooper for photos. He has the cutest little nursery too. Mom and Dad love the outdoors so Boone’s nursery decor centered on the National Parks.

I really enjoyed getting to spend the morning with this adorable family. Congratulations, Lexi and Travis on your new bundle of joy! He is the cutest little guy!

About the Pregnancy

How Did You Find Out You Were Pregnant?

I was making chicken wings in the air fryer (my favorite!) one night and they smelled terrible .. I thought they were bad. We had been trying to conceive for a few months, but I thought it was really too early to take a pregnancy test just to get disappointed with a negative. The next morning I just couldn’t wait so I took a test and there was the faintest of second lines! I count believe it! I (not so patiently) waited for my husband to wake up and had a book I bought months earlier “My Daddy is a Police Officer” sitting on the counter with the positive test under the front cover and a note I wrote to him written inside

How Did You Announce Your Pregnancy?

We called our very closest family and friends after I had my first appointment at 8 weeks (we couldn’t keep it a secret any longer, I had known I was pregnant since about 3 weeks lol) and officially announced it to everyone else around 13 weeks with some photos we had taken with our feltboard (we’ve taken our little feltboard on most of our adventures together over the years so this was special to us)

How Did You Find out the Gender?

We were originally going to wait and have it be a surprise.. but the doctors office gave us an envelope with the gender in it… we made it all the way home before we tore it open together! lol

Did you have any pregnancy cravings?

Sour gummy worms, dessert and anything spicy

What has been your favorite part of motherhood so far?

Watching this little guy grow and start to recognize us!
