Landry & Emma | A 7-11 Wedding at Green Acres Baptist Church

There are weddings you photograph, and then there are weddings that feel like stepping straight into a story someone wrote just for you. Landry and Emma’s day was absolutely the latter. Held on July 11th, their celebration was a beautiful contradiction—equal parts elegant and playful, deeply sentimental and downright fun. From the moment I met their families, I knew this weekend was going to be something magic.

The Details

Landry and Emma said “I do” on July 11 at Green Acres Baptist Church, surrounded by family and friends who clearly adore them. The couple carried a soft, romantic color palette of blue hues and lilac throughout the day — from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the floral arrangements — creating that dreamy, airy feel from the ceremony straight through to the reception.

From there, everyone made their way to Holly Tree Country Club for a reception that was equal parts polished and personal.

Two Cakes, Endless Personality

If there’s one thing I love, it’s a cake that tells a story, and Landry and Emma gave us two.

The bride’s cake was a flavor adventure all on its own — each tier was a different flavor, including strawberry, lemon, Italian cream, and chocolate. Guests genuinely couldn’t decide which slice to go back for.

The groom’s cake, though, stole the show in its own way. Designed in a steampunk style, it was covered in tiny details that all tied back to pieces of Landry’s life and interests. It was clear a lot of thought (and probably a few inside jokes) went into every gear and embellishment.

Leaning Into a 7-11 Wedding

Here’s where things got really fun. With a wedding date of 7/11, Landry and Emma decided to have a little fun with the coincidence. Later in the day, the groomsmen and the newlyweds made a quick stop at 7-Eleven for free Slurpees — because if your wedding date is basically a neon sign from the universe, you might as well celebrate it.

And they didn’t stop there. The grand exit was timed exactly for 7:11 PM, with guests sending them off through a bubble exit before the couple hopped into a golf cart decorated with balloons and rode off into the evening. It was such a sweet, laughter-filled moment — the kind of detail that makes a wedding feel unmistakably theirs.

A Weekend to Remember

Spending the weekend with Landry, Emma, and their families was such a gift. Between the heartfelt ceremony at Green Acres Baptist Church, the celebration at Holly Tree Country Club, the Slurpee run, the 7:11 bubble exit, and two of the most memorable cakes I’ve seen in a while, this wedding had everything — thoughtfulness, humor, and so much love.
