Okay, where do I even begin with this wedding?! Lainie and Jeff’s day colorful summer at The Gardenia Venue was a total dream—bursting with color, overflowing with joy, and filled with some of the kindest, most fun people I’ve ever met (and photographed… more on that in a sec!).
From the moment I walked in, it felt like a giant reunion! I’ve had the honor of photographing several of Lainie and Jeff’s guests at their own weddings, so seeing so many familiar, smiling faces again felt like my heart was doing cartwheels. This is seriously one of my favorite parts of what I do—getting to celebrate with people over and over again through different chapters of life. It’s the best feeling ever.
Now let’s talk about Lainie and Jeff. These two?! OBSESSED. Their personalities are magnetic, and the love they share is the real-deal, storybook kind. I caught Jeff sneaking sweet glances at Lainie all day long—like he couldn’t believe she was real. And every time he told her how perfect she looked (which was a lot), I just about melted into a puddle behind my camera. Ultimate hype man status unlocked.
The day was full of thoughtful, fun, and totally them touches. The bridesmaids wore the dreamiest buttercream yellow dresses that practically glowed in the summer light, and A to Z Florals went above and beyond with the most colorful, textural floral wonderland. It was like stepping into a vibrant garden party with a little magic sprinkled on top.
And can we take a moment for the father-daughter first dance? ICONIC. It was playful, full of personality, and had everyone smiling from ear to ear. Just like Lainie and her dad, it was unforgettable.
Then the dance floor opened… and NEVER. CALMED. DOWN. DJ Rod Baker kept the party going all night long, and Marquise Pro brought the heat with live saxophone that had people losing their minds in the best way possible. I’m still vibing off that energy!
Oh, and Jeff? Instead of a groom’s cake, he brought in a full-blown candy bar! Guests were buzzing around it all night and loving every minute. It was such a fun, sweet touch (pun intended) and so perfectly “Jeff.”
Lainie and Jeff’s wedding day was colorful, heartwarming, laughter-filled, and just straight-up JOY. I left with sore cheeks from smiling so much, a full heart, and a whole camera roll of magic.
