I had such a great time getting to know Patricia and Stephen at their Gaylord Texan Engagement session. We were originally planning on going to Arbor Hills but with rain in the forecast, we switched gears and headed to Grapevine.
These two are so sweet and it was a lot of fun getting to know them while we explored the Gaylord!
I am very excited about their wedding in November at Hidden Pines – Hurst. I know it is going to be a beautiful day with beautiful people!
Here are some of my favorites from their Gaylord Texan Engagement Session!
More about the couple
How did you two meet?
Stephen and I met in a modern but odd manner: online. After many failed dates with other people, we finally came across each other; and have been pretty inseparable since then.
What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?
Patti: Stephen has a really nice smile, kind eyes, and a cute beard. His personality takes over any room he enters.
Stephen: Her love of God, smile, and eyes.
Tell us your engagement story!
Stephen began planning our engagement November 2019. He took my mom and sister out for coffee and asked my mom for my hand in marriage. His parents flew out from California a couple of weeks later and our families met up in Waco to tour Magnolia and Silos, and have lunch. My sister Cindy works for Magnolia and have us a private tour of the grounds. Once we made it to the outdoor balcony, Stephen pulled me aside, as we looked out towards the crowd he said, “ this has been the best year of my life and I would like it to last the rest of my life…(got down on a knee)…Patti will you marry me?” I answered YES, dropped my dog on the ground by accident (she was completely fine by the way), hugged and kisses Stephen. It was the best day do date!
What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?
Stephen and I are both excited to publicly proclaim our love for one another and God in front our friends and family.
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Wedding will be stressful and there will always be so much to do , but make sure to make time four yourself and time alone with tour fiancé. Remember the many reasons why you are planning a wedding.
How was your overall session experience?
AMAZING! Kimberly is awesome! Our overall experience was better than what we expected . It was the first time we both enjoyed taking photos.
Share something interesting about your significant other!
Patti: Stephen has a large repertoire of dad jokes, some of them are kind of funny!
Stephen: Patti makes really interesting sound effects and animal noises while she drives.
