Kendra and Jake’s engagement session at The Savannah in Sulpher Springs was absolutely gorgeous! BONUS….they brought their adorable puppy Benny to be apart of the shoot!
I had such a great time getting to know this couple…they are fun, easy to chat with and really nice. I cannot wait for their wedding this October!

About the couple
How did you two meet?
We met through work! I transferred into his department and our boss had me go to the field with Jake to learn what he was doing and it blossomed from there. I’m (Kendra) not a talkative person but we instantly connected and were immediately comfortable with each other. We laughed and talked the entire day!
What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?
I liked how comfortable I felt with Jake, it was so easy to talk to him and be myself!

Tell us your engagement story!
We had not been out in awhile so Jake asked me to go out on a date night. Dinner at our favorite restaurant and then to the movies to watch the new Lion King! When we got home, I go and check the mailbox thinking date night was over but as I’m walking back up the driveway I see Jake still standing there waiting for me. I walk up to him, he gives me a kiss, tells me he loves me and gets down on one knee! Completely surprised me!
What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?
Standing under the alter, hand in hand
Seeing Kendra walk down the aisle
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Do your research and go with your gut! Start early.
How was your overall session experience?
It was great! We were both so nervous beforehand but after finally meeting Kimberly, she made us feel comfortable and confident, and gave us great instructions on what we needed to do!
Share something interesting about your significant other!
Jake drag races motorcycles! We’ve travelled over half the country together!
I love that Kendra has taken to and genuinely enjoys all of the hobbies and new things I’ve introduced her to
