Engagement at the Dallas Arboretum | Amanda and Jadon

I had an absolute best time with Amanda and Jadon for their romantic winter engagement at the Dallas Arboretum. (Cue all the heart eye emoji’s) These two drove in all the way from Temple, TX for their session and looked HOT. I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I do road trips I look like a HOT MESS. 🙂

I cannot wait for their wedding next year at the Bowden! Amanda and Jadon, Thank you so much for hanging out with me during your engagement at the Dallas Arboretum, I had so much fun getting to know you guys!

How did you two meet?

I just moved to Texas two weeks earlier from Chicago and went into a local Verizon store for a new phone. I met Tremaine there, Jadon’s brother and our best man, and we started talking about how I was new in the area and interested in meeting new people. He told me to message his brother, Jadon, on Facebook, so I did. And here we are!

What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?

Amanda – His sense of humor! There were no awkward moments, I was able to be completely myself with him, and I felt truly pursued, respected and wanted.

Jadon – Having someone who is my equal, knowing that you wanted me, but didn’t need me. I don’t even need to mention how beautiful you are.

Tell us your engagement story!

Jadon had been planning the perfect proposal for a while, but after he bought the ring he had the credit card sent to our house! I always open the mail, and had no indication by the envelope that I shouldn’t open this one! He initially felt like the surprise was ruined, but ended up getting people at my work involved. I was in a room seeing a patient, and my surgeon came into the room and said that there was an emergency outside and he needed me. When I came out, I saw everyone gathered around and a dozen roses on the counter. I walked over to the flowers, confused, and Jadon came out of a different exam room with the ring and got down on one knee! I had no idea, and was completely surprised.

What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?

Amanda – I cant wait to see the look on his face when he sees me for the first time!

Jadon – Seeing your face in that moment, when you’re taking everything in and seeing you get everything you deserve.

Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?

Amanda – Don’t stress the small stuff and ask for help when you need it!

How was your overall session experience?

Incredible! We felt right at home and comfortable and were able to completely be ourselves and enjoy the day!

Share something interesting about your significant other!

Amanda – He’s obsessed with anime and video games, and even though he’s visually impaired, you would never be able to tell watching him play smash bro’s!

Jadon – She’s super confident but bashful when it comes to receiving compliments.
