Dallas Engagement Session | Jennifer and Ross

Engagement Session

July 24, 2020

This Dallas engagement session is giving me all the heart eyes. Seriously, these two look absolutely adorable together and we had so much fun exploring Hotel Crescent Court and Flippen Park together. I’m not going to lie…these two were up for anything and it made my little photographer heart rejoice! They didn’t even bat and eye when I asked if they could play around in a fountain towards the end of the session.

I am so excited to see these two get hitched this September at their home in Mansfield surrounded by friends and family.

Read below for some of my favorite images of Jennifer and Ross’ Dallas engagement session and more about their love story!

How did you two meet?

Ross and I met at work! Funny, he was not my (Jenn) favorite person when I started working with him but over time he won me over!

What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?

From Jennifer – His Heart and Faith! Ross has the biggest heart, he is always looking out for others, he never puts himself first. He loves his family and works everyday to make sure everyone feels special and appreciated. From

Ross – Aside from the obvious, her work ethic and passion. How she did everything the right way and didn’t cut corners. She was real and genuine and didn’t care about outside opinions. She is different than pretty much anyone I have ever met, and is one of the most refreshing people I could ever be around.

Tell us your engagement story!

We had gone an extended period of time (for us) without any alone time, so we dropped off the kids to their grandparents and went to a new restaurant in Southlake for dinner. After a delightful meal, we headed home to the house we just bought a few weeks prior, but I stopped at our favorite to-go daiquiri lounge for some Sunday Funday. This was a surprise, as she seemed agitated that I didn’t go the route that her GPS suggested. It was a lovely September evening, so we enjoyed our frozen beverages by the pool, where I took a knee in the shallow tanning landing of the pool to pop the question.

What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?

Honestly just bringing the people we love the most and have been apart of our journey together to celebrate our love and the joining of our families.

Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?

Don’t let the details stress you out. Even if it is not perfect, it will be perfect for you and no one will know any different. SLOW DOWN the day of. If you go to fast you will not be able to take the time to soak in all the love surrounding you!

How was your overall session experience?

I could not have picked a better photographer, Kimberly has a passion and you can see it shine in her eyes when she finds the perfect pose. She made us feel comfortable from the second we met her and the session flew by! PERFECTION! (Awe! Thank you!!!)

Share something interesting about your significant other!

From Ross – Jennifer’s passion for fitness motivates me to get off my lazy tuchus. We compete (although she may not be aware I’m TRYING to compete with her) on the Peloton, but she is pretty much lapping me on all the workouts.

From Jenn – Ross has the patience of a saint. With me, with the kids, with his clients. Everyone loves him and he can make everyone feel at ease and comfortable.
