Dallas Wedding Photographer | Dallas Arts District Engagement Session
Jennifer and Jorge’s Dallas Arts District Engagement Session was so much fun! We met up at the Winspear Opera House and then headed off to White Rock lake for the second half of their session. There were so many fun places to explore and I had a blast getting to know these two.
They’ve been dating for about 4 years after meeting on Bumble. They agreed meeting people online is a little intimidating at first, (and you have to share your location with friends) but they are glad they took the plunge.
They live near the Bishop Arts district and Jorge swears he will always love living in the city. There is just so much to see and do and it’s all within arms reach.
They’ll be getting married this Fall at Firefly Gardens and I for one am very excited to be a part of their day! Thank you for choosing us to capture this special moment in your lives.
Here are a few of my favorite images from their engagement session, please enjoy!
About The Couple
How did you two meet?
It was 2017 when Our love story first began, just two single twenty-somethings who happened to swipe right on Bumble. After going back and fourth on conversation we decided to meet up in person for our first date which included chicken tenders (Jenn’s favorite) and drinks. Jenn and Jorge shortly fell in love sharing a mutual love in beer, horror films, and being outdoors.
What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?
I first was drawn to Jorge because of his laid-back attitude and laugh. Jorge loves how Jenn is so kind to everyone she meets.
Tell us your engagement story!
We planned a family trip to south padre island with both of our families. While in town we planned to celebrate Jenn’s grandpa’s 89th birthday. To my, Jenn’s surprise upon their arrival to her grandpa’s home where she spent every summer during her school years was a beautiful display of photos, flowers and twinkles lights. In front of both of our families and our fur babies Ripley and Willow Jorge asked Jenn to be his forever.
What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?
Having all of our favorite people in one place. Since the pandemic large family gatherings have been far and in between. With both of us having large extended families we can’t wait to all be together this year.
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Plan early and have fun. Don’t get caught-up in everyone else opinion and make a decision based on what your hearts want.
How was your overall session experience?
We had such an amazing session with Kimberly. We consider ourselves “awkward” picture takers but Kimberly made it so painless and actually fun to spend time taking photos together.
Share something interesting about your significant other!
Jorge says that Jenn is a social worker and has a kind and loving heart.
Jenn says that Jorge has a lot of knowledge about any and all movies. He could speak for hours about any movie especially horror. Which is why we just had to get a picture wearing our “Scream” masks!
Congratulations to the both of you. May God continue to bless your forever together! What a phenomenal love story! The photographer captured priceless moments…just stunning!
