Dallas Wedding Photographer | Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
Shelby and Logan met up with me at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, TX for their engagement photos. We had such a blast! Y’all I LOVE IT when couples show up ready to have a good time and are so easy to talk to! It was honestly so refreshing to just get to hang out and capture the love between these two!
I think Arbor hills was the perfect choice for their engagement session! It has a soft, romantic feel to it and we had so much fun exploring the park. I loved that they were totally willing to play in the creek and have FUN!
All I can say is after having such a blast with these two at their engagement session, I am pumped to celebrate with them at their wedding this summer at The Springs Denton Ranch!
Here are some of my favorites from their Arbor Hills Nature Preserve engagement session!
About the Couple
How did you two meet?
Logan and I met through a group chat three years ago that was for incoming DBU college freshmen. I sent a message in the group chat about soccer, and Logan responded. On the day of my last game, he direct messaged me to tell me good luck. The conversation only continued from there and we eventually met in person!
What was it about your significant other that first attracted you to them?
The first thing about Logan that first attracted me to him was his smile, because it was so warm and genuine, as well as his love for Christ. Logan was attracted to my love for Christ as well as my sweet personality.
Tell us your engagement story!
We got engaged on April 28, 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic! As a result, some details about the engagement had to be changed, but the way Logan proposed was so sweet and I could not have pictured that moment happening in any other way.
We got engaged on our two year dating anniversary. (Even though Logan assured me he was not proposing on that day.) He set up lunch for us at his grandparents house in east Texas, which was Chinese food of course. After we ate, he played our favorite song to dance to and got down on one knee and proposed! I said yes and he had my mom, his family, and my best friends downstairs waiting to celebrate with us.
What has you most excited when you think about your wedding day?
I am most excited about seeing Logan’s face when I walk down the aisle and getting to see how all of the different things I have planned come together!
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
The one piece of advice I would give to other couples planning their wedding is to make sure that you have an efficient way to keep track of dates from when you are meeting people to when payments are due.
How was your overall session experience?
Logan and I both absolutely loved our engagement session! Kimberly was amazing and knows exactly what she is looking for in a photo. We had lots of fun with the different shots she had us do and her creativity was amazing!
Do you have any tips or advice for other couples about to have engagement photos taken?
A piece of advice I would give to other couples about to have engagement photos taken is to have a fun date planned for after. The two of us looked at engagement pictures as an enjoyable part of the date rather than an appointment we had to go to and we both loved it!
Tell me one quirky, unique or funny thing about your significant other?
One unique thing about Logan is that he does not like chocolate, but that’s okay because it means more for me!
