Ruth and Jamall’s wedding at Firefly Gardens was exactly that.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was more than a celebration. It was a joining of two families, two cultures, and two hearts determined to build a marriage rooted in Christ.
A Day Filled With Worship, Honor, and Heritage
Their ceremony took place outdoors under the warm glow of Texas sunshine, surrounded by worship, spoken prayers, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude. You could feel God’s presence in every moment — from Ruth’s joyful walk down the aisle to the way Jamall looked at her with equal parts admiration and awe.
One of my favorite parts of their day was how seamlessly their families’ heritages were woven into the celebration. Ruth’s Ugandan family brought so much color, music, and cultural richness, while Jamall’s military background added honor, discipline, and tradition. Together, it created the most beautiful tapestry — a wedding day that was uniquely and unmistakably theirs.
