Fort Worth Wedding Photographer | Hotel Drover
Bold florals, a live longhorn, and a surprise birthday cake entrance made this Fort Worth wedding one for the books. The most eye-catching detail of the day was the bright, bold floral design by Petals Couture that decorated every single inch of the ceremony and reception spaces. The entire event was planned to perfection by Kristin from Events by Kristin—she has such an incredible eye for detail, and all her events are stunning! Lexie and Austin’s love story began in Manhattan, and they brought a piece of that journey to Texas with a signature cocktail hour sign celebrating how she met her “Wall Street Cowboy.” To make the day even more special, they broke tradition and opted to see each other the morning of the wedding—after all, why wouldn’t you want to spend more time with the love of your life?

TCU Family Day
Even with it being TCU Family Day and the Stockyards bustling, Lexie and Austin found plenty of time to enjoy the hotel’s amenities before the ceremony, with Austin and his friends reserving a pool cabana to swim and soak up some Texas sun while Lexie wandered around Hotel Drover socializing with visiting friends and family.

A First Look Before the “I Do’s”
Lexie and Austin chose a first look ahead of their ceremony at Hotel Drover, giving them time to capture family and wedding party portraits before guests arrived. The choice meant the couple could be fully present during cocktail hour and photos didn’t cut into reception time later in the evening.

Cocktails on Arrival and an Outdoor Ceremony
As guests arrived, they were welcomed with cocktails before taking their seats for an outdoor ceremony. Petals Couture lined the aisle with colorful floral arrangements in shades of orange, blue, pink, and purple, anchored by a large floral focal piece at the altar that set the tone for the black-tie affair.

Cocktail Hour on the Hotel Drover Patio
Following the ceremony, cocktail hour moved to the Hotel Drover patio, where guests mingled and even took photos with a live longhorn — a nod to the venue’s Fort Worth Stockyards setting. It’s the kind of detail that made this cocktail hour distinct from a typical hotel reception.

A Reception Space to Remember
The Barn Ballroom at Hotel Drover was completely transformed into a vibrant, romantic masterpiece that showed exactly how to do color right. Draped in soft, pearly fabric, the room felt elevated and intimate, creating a dreamy backdrop for the evening’s festivities. Deep purple linens set a rich foundation at every table, perfectly punctuated by striking hot pink chargers that added an energetic pop of personality. Dripping colorful blooms overflowed across every inch of the space, filling the ballroom with lush texture and vivid hues, while a classic black-and-white checkered dance floor anchored the design and invited guests to celebrate in style. The overall effect was nothing short of breathtaking—a flawless blend of bold playfulness and high-end sophistication.

Dancing With Jordan Khan Orchestra
Lexie and Austin danced the night away to live music from Jordan Khan Orchestra. Since Lexie’s birthday had fallen just two days before the wedding, a family friend surprised her mid-celebration by jumping out of a giant birthday cake in a hot pink showgirl outfit — a moment that turned into one of the night’s biggest highlights.

A Send-Off Through Light-Up Ribbons
To close out the night, Lexie and Austin exited through a tunnel of light-up ribbons held by their guests, capping off a black-tie celebration built around color, personal touches, and a few unforgettable surprises.
