Some wedding days just feel meant to be—and after everything these two had endured with the weather, Mckenna and Ty absolutely deserved the most beautiful day imaginable. All week leading up to their Aristide McKinney wedding, the forecast was calling for thunderstorms. I refreshed the weather app more than I’d like to admit, just hoping this would finally be the session where the sun showed up for them.
Their engagement session? Rainy and absolutely freezing.
Mckenna’s bridals? Cold, windy, and the kind of Texas gusts that make veil shots… an adventure.
So when I pulled into the venue and saw blue skies and golden light pouring over the architecture, I could’ve cried happy photographer tears. This was their day—and it was perfect.
Getting Ready: Game Day + Girl Time
Inside the venue, the energy was pure joy. Mckenna got ready with her girls, surrounded by laughter, music, and the kind of bridal bliss that makes my heart flutter.
Meanwhile, Ty and the groomsmen were fully embracing Texas tradition: watching the Texas A&M game while getting suited up. (Honestly? One of my favorite groom-suite vibes ever.)
The First Look
Because their ceremony was scheduled for after sunset, a first look was so important. And I’m so glad they did it—it was emotional, peaceful, and full of that quiet excitement that settles in right before the whirlwind begins.
With daylight on our side, we explored the grounds of Aristide McKinney for portraits, soaking up every bit of that finally perfect weather. The joy on their faces said it all.
A Nighttime Ceremony
As the sun dipped away, the venue transformed into a romantic, warm-lit ceremony space. Surrounded by family and friends, they promised forever to each other. There’s something so intimate about a nighttime ceremony—the world feels a little quieter, a little slower, and all the focus is on the moment.
Cocktail Hour & Mini Golf
After the “I do’s,” guests were treated to a cocktail hour that was as fun as the couple themselves. Mini golf! Signature drinks! Joy everywhere! I love when couples incorporate something playful and personal into their day—it makes everyone feel like they’re part of the celebration.
Dancing the Night Away
The reception was one big, heartfelt party. Friends and family filled the dance floor, celebrating Mckenna and Ty with so much energy and love. It was one of those nights where no one wanted to leave the dance floor, and every moment felt worth remembering.
A Perfect Day for a Perfect Pair
After cold engagement photos and windy bridals, this day felt like a gift. Sunshine, laughter, gorgeous portraits, and a couple who kept smiling through every weather curveball thrown their way this year.
Mckenna and Ty, thank you for trusting me with your story—every single moment was a joy to capture. I’m so happy your wedding day was everything you hoped for and more. Here are some of my favorites from your Fall Wedding at Aristide McKinney.
